Reflection is a serie based on white watercolor paintings on black cotton paper, executed using modern watercolor techniques such as splattering and drizzling.

The inspiration for this project stems from my personal journey of Teshuva, the transition from self cancellation to personal expression. The objective of this technique is to convey the inner essence of each individual, showcasing their influence, interaction within a collective, and ultimately their unique identity as individuals.

This project is divided into three parts. The first, represented by farbrenguen, Hassidic gatherings, poses the broader question of who we allow to influence us.The notion of bitul, ‘annulment,’ expresses the emptiness we accept within ourselves to be filled with something else. Next comes the individual’s place within society, their influence within a group, and the group’s influence on them.Finally, the candlesticks represent introspection, questioning: who am I in relation to myself, and why? What is expected of me?
